Everyone loves stories of triumph over tragedy. Hubbell-Wiegmann has a great story, too. E.M. Wiegmann & Co. opened in Freeburg, Illinois in 1928, founded by Edgar Maurice Wiegmann. Forty years later, an F-3 tornado swept through Freeburg and nearly demolished their 42,500 square foot building. Understanding Ladder Logic

Before the PLC was introduced in the 1960s, automation relied on panel after panel filled with electromechanical relays. Once an expensive and complicated device to program and troubleshoot, today’s PLCs have become more user friendly, efficient, smaller, and less expensive.
