For more than four decades, Mindman Industrial has been helping machine builders and manufacturers turn compressed air, motion, sensing and fluid control into reliable automation.
Founded in Taiwan in 1979, Mindman began with pneumatic components and has steadily evolved alongside the automation industry.

Today, the company’s portfolio extends well beyond traditional pneumatics, encompassing solenoid valves, pneumatic cylinders, air preparation equipment, electric actuators, fieldbus systems, grippers, pressure sensing and control, air and fluid control technologies, and a wide range of solutions for diverse automation applications.
Behind that growth is a philosophy that has remained remarkably consistent: understand where industrial automation is heading, develop the technologies customers will need next and maintain control over manufacturing so those products can be delivered with consistent quality.
Today, Mindman products reach customers in more than 90 countries and serve industries including automotive, semiconductor and electronics, food and packaging, medical equipment, textile machinery, new energy and general industrial automation.
Headquartered in Taipei, Mindman employs approximately 600 people and operates a 969,000-square-foot manufacturing base in Tainan, Taiwan.

“In the vast automation market, Mindman spares no effort to establish our company as a world-class, premium automation components supplier and exceed customer expectations,” said Mindman Industrial President Ching-Cheng Huang.
Made in Taiwan, From Materials to Finished Product
One of Mindman’s defining strengths is the depth of its manufacturing capability. Rather than relying heavily on outsourced production, the company has developed a vertically integrated manufacturing operation in Taiwan, giving it control over critical processes from raw materials to finished products. Its in-house capabilities include die casting, precision machining, plastic injection molding, surface treatment, anodizing and paint coating, as well as assembly, inspection and final testing.
The Tainan manufacturing base combines this vertical integration with automated warehousing, production tracking and internally developed automation equipment. Mindman’s production engineering teams continuously analyze manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, improve production flow and strengthen quality consistency.
A dedicated automation team takes this approach a step further by designing and building custom automated machinery for the company’s own production lines. The result is a manufacturing environment where automation is not only something the company sells – it is something Mindman applies every day.
Engineering the Next Generation of Automation
Mindman’s product development has evolved along with the changing needs of machine builders. Its R&D teams combine mechanical engineering with electronics, smart sensing, industrial communications and IoT technologies. Product development and engineering data are managed through a PLM system, while extensive validation testing is used to verify characteristics such as service life, load capacity, flow performance and response time. That engineering capability supports a broad portfolio covering several fundamental areas of machine automation.
Pneumatic motion and control remain at the heart of the company’s business, with a wide selection of directional and process valves, pneumatic cylinders, air preparation equipment, grippers and other pneumatic control components.
Mindman at AutomationDirect
AutomationDirect customers have access to a growing selection of Mindman pneumatic automation products, including solenoid valves, pneumatic cylinders and air preparation components. As the partnership continues to develop, the companies expect to expand the product categories available to customers, giving them access to a broader range of automation solutions.
Mindman’s valve offering includes MVSC/MVSC1 directional-control solenoid valves, MVDC stackable valves, MVDY miniature solenoid valves, MVAA pilot valves and a variety of manual valves.
The MVDC series provides a modular approach for creating clean and scalable multi-station valve banks, while compact MVDY miniature solenoid valves provide fast switching where installation space is limited. MVAA pilot valves provide efficient, low-power actuation for larger pneumatic valves and manifolds.
Building a Smarter Factory
Mindman’s investment in automation extends beyond the production floor.
A dedicated IT team is leading the company’s internal digital transformation, including integrating AI technologies into daily operations. These systems are being used to improve organizational efficiency, support data-driven decision-making and preserve valuable manufacturing knowledge accumulated over decades.
For Mindman, digital transformation is not simply an IT project. It is part of a broader effort to combine manufacturing experience with new technologies and ensure that expertise can be systematically transferred to the next generation.
Sustainability and the Next Generation
Efficiency is increasingly important in the products Mindman develops and how they are manufactured.
The company has achieved ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas verification and ISO 50001 energy management system certification as part of its efforts to systematically measure and reduce environmental impact. Extensive rooftop solar installations at the Tainan manufacturing base provide up to 400 kWp of renewable-energy generation capacity.
Mindman’s focus on energy-efficient product design has also received industry recognition. Its MEJQ compact electric actuator received the 2025 Energy Efficiency Award Gold for its energy-saving design.
The company also invests in the next generation of engineering talent through university collaborations, technical projects and annual summer internship programs, giving students opportunities to gain practical experience in industrial automation and manufacturing.
Strength Through Diversification
Mindman Industrial is part of the Mindman Group, whose companies provide technologies spanning pneumatic and electric automation, industrial tools, electrical components, hydraulic-pneumatic systems, sealing technologies, vacuum solutions and high-precision motorized stages.
This diversification gives the group access to expertise across multiple areas of industrial technology while allowing Mindman Industrial to remain focused on developing automation solutions for an increasingly connected and energy-conscious manufacturing world.
“Our diversification strategy helps us remain at the forefront of the industry,” Huang said. “Through thoughtful design and dedicated effort, we strive to lead in both product innovation and customer service.”
From Factory Automation to AI Infrastructure
Mindman sees the next phase of industrial automation being shaped by the convergence of precision motion, intelligent sensing, industrial communications, energy efficiency and fluid management.
Building on its experience in pneumatic control, sensing and fluid management, the company is accelerating R&D in proportional control, ultrasonic flow sensing, advanced industrial communication protocols, smart sensing and ultra-precise motion control. These technologies are increasingly relevant to emerging applications such as AI server liquid cooling, semiconductor advanced manufacturing and CPO optoelectronic packaging.
At the same time, Mindman will continue strengthening its core pneumatic and electric automation technologies while leveraging its Taiwan manufacturing base to improve supply-chain resilience, quality control and responsiveness to global OEM customers.
More than four decades after its founding, industrial automation technologies continue to evolve. Mindman’s objective remains the same: to keep developing the motion, control and sensing technologies manufacturers will need next – and to build them with the manufacturing discipline that has defined the company since 1979.
