Its history is closely tied to the leadership of Executive Chairman Narendra Joharimal Goliya, an electrical engineer from IIT Mumbai who earned a Master of Science in Microelectronics from Stanford University. After joining his family’s electrical measuring instruments business in 1975, he established Rishabh Instruments Pvt. Ltd. in Nashik, India, in 1983.

Goliya led the development of a broad portfolio of products and companies spanning electrical industrial control, energy management, and test and measuring instruments. The Rishabh Group steadily expanded, building an international network of companies. Sifam Tinsley, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is the North American operations division of the Rishabh Group and employs 12 people.

Today, the Rishabh Group’s 1,300 employees serve customers in more than 100 countries. They

design, develop and manufacture electrical instrumentation, control devices and energy management solutions used across power generation, utilities, industrial automation and other markets. The company also operates a software development company and two modification centers.

Available as amperage, voltage, frequency or power factor meters, with models offering true RMS capability, their clear, easy-to-read displays allow operators to quickly verify system status and keep operations running smoothly.

The MCS series features large 4.5-inch switchboard meters designed for maximum visibility in control rooms and critical panels. With wide-angle dials, glare-resistant windows and rugged construction, these meters ensure clear, reliable readings even at a distance. 

  • The Smartlook and Contender series provide compact, ANSI-standard panel-mounted solutions in 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch case sizes, balancing precision, rugged design and ease of integration.
  • Smartlook meters feature spear pointers and serve as drop-in replacements for Yokogawa Biglook meters.
  • Contender meters use tubular knife-edge pointers and serve as replacements for Yokogawa Horizon Line meters. 

AutomationDirect also offers a selection of Sifam Tinsley AC current transformers and DC shunts. Customers use them with ammeters, wattmeters and voltmeters to convert high-level voltage/current to a lower range required for these devices.
